Calling In the Muse Salon
We did it!!
We gathered on Sunday, May 29, 2022, on Zoom, to celebrate our inaugural Calling In the Muse, An Open Studio Exhibition. We showcased 7 creatives from the exhibition, through talks, readings and performances, and premiered our slide show by Lisa Kemp and soundtrack by Tersh Ronalds - featuring every creation from the show, including excerpts from our poetry, music and videos. (Check it out on our Main Exhibition Page!) We also, in Open Studio style, danced.
Big love goes to: Laurie Waller Benson for her bright chat moderation, and her pre-salon support; Brenda Clews for transporting us with her Medusa-inspired poetry performance; Evelyn Hopfner for her delightful talk about her Muse Mathilda, and her pre-Salon support; Lisa Kemp for creating our magnificent slide show and posters, and for managing all the Salon video and photo shares; Nan Keyser for touching our hearts with her poetry; Amanda Milroy for kindly offering a land acknowledgement; Gintare Morie for her magical movement performance in her ritual Friendship Dress; Tersh Ronalds for his fabulous slide show soundtrack; my sister Lisa Ross-Rizikov, for Byrdie the Beatnik Clown’s brilliant creation story; Sarah Rubenstein for her inspirational talk; Jessica Tudos for taking us into the world of icebergs; and Jeannie Eleni Vasilakos for her ongoing support and care.
And of course… a big thank you goes to everyone who attended!
For those who missed it, you’re in luck! Our Zoom recordings of the talks and performances worked. (They may not the best quality, but hey… they do the trick!) Please enjoy them below, along with two other videos recorded prior to the salon. Here they are in order of appearance.
